The Company is a professionally managed family-owned company. Late Dr. C. K. Mavani, M.Sc. Ph.D., Mr. A. C. Mavani, B.Chem. Engg. A.M.I.Che.E and Mr. N. C. Mavani, B.Sc. Engg, started business in 1971 with the objective of solving the burning maintenance problems of Indian Industries by way of Specialty Lubricants.
The late '60s witnessed a shortage of Specialty Lubricants. Proposals from few industries propelled Late Dr C. K. Mavani to start a manufacturing unit in India to offer import substitute products.
The company started with the manufacturing of Specialty Lubricants based on Moly and Graphite with indigenous R & D activities. Later on, in 1974, the company introduced Silicone-based lubricants for the only Aircraft manufacturer in India. It was a major breakthrough for the company to get TYPE APPROVAL for Indian products of Moly and Graphite based lubricants against the Russian Specifications.
In 1980 the company introduced for the first time in India Synthetic Lubricants based on various esters, Glycols and other Synthetic functional fluids with indigenous technology. The company always looks forward to technological advancement for updating the requirements of new products to incorporate the developments in Synthetic base oils.
The plant is located at MIDC Mahape in the outskirts of Mumbai. The unit has state of art facilities for the following line of manufacturing:
1) Grease Manufacturing
2) Oil Blending
3) Aerosol Manufacturing
4) Other Allied Products-Such As Emulsions, Coatings, Metal Working Fluids Etc.
The manufacturing activities are looked after by Mr A. N. Zurale under the guidance of Mr Shail Mavani who is a Chemical Engineer and a certified lubrication technologist.
